On April 7, Kim Ji-soo appeared on the Philippine reality show “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” and was asked about the controversy involving Kim Soo-hyun, which is currently one of the most heated topics in South Korea.
When asked “Have you ever met Kim Soo-hyun?”, Kim Ji-soo replied, “Actually, no. I haven’t met him personally.”

His response, clearly drawing a line, sparked varied reactions from netizens. Some fans of Kim Soo-hyun criticized the remark as unnecessary, while others defended him, saying it was a natural and straightforward answer.
As Kim Soo-hyun faces allegations of dating a minor, other celebrities known to be close to him have also faced backlash. Netizens have urged actors like Ahn Bo-hyun, Im Si-wan and Jung Hae-in to unfollow him on social media. In response to public pressure, Ahn Bo-hyun and Im Si-wan reportedly cleaned out their following lists.

Kim Soo-hyun held a press conference on March 31, where he strongly denied all allegations involving a relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron as a minor, as well as claims about pressuring her over debt repayment. He also filed a 12 billion KRW defamation lawsuit against her family.
Kim Ji-soo previously faced controversy in 2021 for a school bullying scandal, leading to a temporary hiatus from the entertainment industry. He is currently signed with Philippine broadcaster GMA and is active in local dramas there.
